  • ? so. that doesn't change the FACT that that is what this is all about. It use to be that same sex couples wanted the same rights. When it turnes out that almost EVERYBODY was fine with that it then became all about the word marriage.

  • By itself it would have little effect but it is 1 more nail in the coffin of the family, the backbone of a prosperous society. Gay people think it will elevate their releationships to that of a man& woman but it won't.

  • This has NOTHING to do with "rights". Re-defining a WORD is not a right. Once you change the definition of marriage to suite one group how can you not change it again to suite another? Where does it end?

  • Christian didn't "patent" the word. Gay supporters just attack Christians because they are threat to their agenda and an easy target. EVERY culture since human history began has defined marriage and defined it as the union between a man and a woman.

  • Having or not having a particular WORD describe your relationship is not a "right". Gays people just use that because when it comes down to it there is a difference. A man and women commiting to each for life and raising a family is fundemental for the health of any society.

  • Your bigotry is astounding. Christian DO NOT hate gays it is the OTHER way around. Christiians just think that a marriage should mean something special. But since Gays have no good argument to support their argument they just call people who disagree with them names.

  • And they do! The issue is does the WORD marriage have a unique and special meaning or does it mean nothing. Once the definition is change to placate one group how can you not support changing it again for another group. You can't without being a hypocrite.

  • What a joke. This issue has NOTHING to do with "rights". The vast majority of Conservatives in the country support equal rights for gay couples but that is not enough for these selfish people.
